Breast cancer is the 2nd most common type of cancer, affecting women – and sometimes men – of all ages. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, making this the perfect time to fundraise and raise awareness about breast cancer.
Here are ways you can use your hair to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure:
Fundraising
1 – Cut your hair for charity – Ask for donations from family, friends and co-workers for a sponsored haircut. You can even network with your favourite salon and get others involved too.
2 – Donate to a breast cancer charity – Products like GHD’s Pretty in Pink styler will keep your hair looking great, but did you know that GHD donates £10 to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity for every straightener sold? If you need a new hair straightener, why not raise money for breast cancer at the same time?
Awareness
3 – Dye your hair pink or get pink hair extensions – “Going pink” is a temporary way to raise awareness about breast cancer. Pink is the official colour of breast cancer charities. When people ask why your hair is pink, you can use the opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer.
What are some other hair-raising ways you can raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness month?
